Housing Information
Register at the Wyndham O'Hare at the special conference rate of $112/night (plus tax) for all rooms. Register by calling 1-847-297-1234 and identify yourself as registering for the Socialism conference. Register soon. The hotel will hold rooms at the special conference rate until June 4, 2009. After that, the hotel will fill them on a space-available basis.
Housing Assistance
A limited amount of space will be available for people who could not otherwise afford to attend Socialism 2009. Those seeking housing assistance will need to bring their own bedding. Please make your request for housing assistance by the deadline of May 31, 2009 on the online registration form.
Child Care
On-site child care will be provided. To help us plan, please make sure to note the number of children and their ages when you register online. Those requesting childcare must let us know by May 31, 2009.
Travel Arrangements
Participants may be able to arrange rides with a local ISO branch. Contact your local branch or email the Socialism 2009 staff at info@socialismconference.org.
Getting to Socialism 2009
The Wyndham O'Hare is located near O'Hare Airport. If you are flying into O'Hare, you can take the 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle bus from the O'Hare Bus Shuttle Center to the hotel. If you are driving to Socialism 2009, please use the hotel's Web site to produce customized driving directions.
Parking
The hotel is offering a special rate of $8/day for conference attendees.
